Connor
Connor is incredibly proud to be part of an organisation that makes a real and meaningful difference in the community. What inspires him most is the positive impact Pride has across the local area, helping to create safe, supportive spaces where people feel seen, valued, and connected.
Mental health is something especially close to Connor’s heart, and he’s passionate about the role Pride can play in supporting wellbeing. Knowing that our events and initiatives help lift people up, reduce isolation, and bring people together is something he’s truly proud to be part of.
Being part of a team that champions inclusion while helping to improve lives is something Connor describes as a real honour
Maxine
Project Everyday Director/ ADministrator.
Max has overall accountability for delivering the programme, coordinating activities and ensuring everything aligns with the Basildon Pride Everyday aims and objectives while staying within budget. Their work helps keep our year-round initiatives running smoothly and supporting the community beyond the festival.
Alongside this, Max also provides essential administrative support to our trustees, directors and volunteers, helping everyone work together effectively and enabling the team to do their best work.
In fact, Max can be described as “the glue that holds the charity together."
GARY
FESTIVAL DIRECTOR
Gary is proud to have been selected as Festival Director and is passionate about helping create a Pride celebration that brings people together. In uncertain times, and with decreasing support for the LGBTQ+ community in many places, he believes it’s more important than ever that we celebrate who we are.
Gary is committed to delivering a positive, welcoming and fun festival for everyone, a space where people can come together, feel proud of their identity, and enjoy being part of the community.

MARKETING Director.
Pride has given me the opportunity to meet so many amazing people I likely would never have crossed paths with through my day job, creative, passionate and educational individuals who all share the same goal of promoting inclusion, visibility and community.
I’m incredibly excited to help share the stories that make our community so special. From creating posts that celebrate who we are, to highlighting the important educational work we do, and of course capturing all the joy and energy from this year’s festival and our events throughout the year.
I’m really looking forward to helping grow our community, celebrating Pride together, and keeping everyone connected with what’s happening.
